To get started, launch the social photo network app on your device and sign into your account if you have not already done so.
Now, click on the camera icon in the top left-hand corner to open the Instagram camera. As you can see, several filters are already available by default, so all you have to do is swipe left or right on the coloured round icons to apply one in real time.
You can also switch between the front and rear cameras by clicking on the camera icon in the bottom right-hand corner. You can then take a photo or video with the filter applied by pressing or holding down the round button in the centre. That said, as some of these are already available by default, to search for them, first launch the Instagram app you have downloaded to your device, then sign into your account if necessary.
Now, click on the camera icon in the top left-hand corner of the app to open Instagram’s camera and thus the story creation tool.

To get started, launch the Instagram app on your device and sign into your account. Then click on the camera icon in the top left-hand corner to open the Instagram camera. Now, scroll down to locate the Browse Effects button and tap on it.
At this point, click on the large magnifying glass icon located in the upper right corner of the Gallery of effects screen and type the name of the effect you want to search for, to find it and eventually save it in the Instagram camera, following the instructions I gave you in the previous chapter.
However, if you do this, you may have trouble locating the filter you are looking for, even if you know its name, as there may be cases of homonyms. To avoid this, if you know the name of the user who created the filter in question, you can search using the Instagram search engine.
To do so, on the main screen of the photo social network, click on the magnifying glass icon in the bottom menu, then tap on the text field at the top and type in the name of the user you know who created the filter. Then, tap on the name of the user in the search results that are displayed to see their profile.

If you have already downloaded the Instagram app on your Android device or iPhone, launch it, sign in with your account details and then, using the social network’s home screen (the one with the house symbol), click on the camera icon that you can see at the top.
Facial filters are only available in Instagram stories, so to use them, you need to launch the facial filter tool, which you can access by clicking on your profile photo at the top left. This will launch your device’s camera.
